Counting Sleeps

On Thursday night I came home and Eddie admitted to me that while I was gone he got out all his snowboard apparel and put it on and checked over it.

On Sunday he got his snowboard out of the garage and checked the bindings, sharpened the edges and looked over his boots.

He's starting counting sleeps, and has kept me giggling. I'll let you all know when he starts packing our stuff.

PS, he started doing this sort of checking and packing a couple of months before we moved to the USA, I ended up having to repack most of the stuff, cause he didn't check with me before he started packing my clothes!

Andrew's Favorite Store

Andrew loves to go to Bass Pro Shop, we get to see fish and ducks and more fish and atvs and boats and bears. We hadn't been for a couple of months so on Tuesday we headed over. As soon as we turned into the parking lot Andrew said, "fish." He was very excited as we got out of the car because there were boats, atvs, and suped up golf carts, he liked it so much that he didn't want to go into the store. But we're mean parents and dragged him in anyway.

Hopefully these will be the only skunk and bear he ever gets this close to.

We had a hard time getting him off this 4 wheeler, he kept running back to it like it belonged to him, and then he decided what boat he'd like to buy, and he kept running back to it.

Tears on the way home.

Today I am Not Proud To Be an American

I don't want to live anywhere else, but I'm absolutely sickened by this from Fox News

President Obama will issue an executive order on Thursday reversing the Bush administration policy that bans the use of federal dollars by non-governmental organizations that discuss or provide abortions outside of the United States.

Andrew Might be Confused

Andrew really likes movies with Dick Van Dyke. He's moved on from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and is now on Mary Poppins. When Dick Van Dyke is on the screen, in either movie, Andrew says Daddy and points to the screen, and when chitty is on the screen he says, "daddys car."

I don't see a reseblence, but Andrew seems to. Maybe it has something to do with both Eddie and Dick being very silly.

We Were Approved!

Yesterday we waited for an hour for our 11 o'clock appointment at the USCIS office, when we finally got in the interview process took about 15 minutes. The officer asked us a few questions, mostly he went over our paperwork to make sure it was all correct. He told us he could tell just by the way we behaved and spoke to one another that we're a legit couple. Eddie can apply for citizenship in 2 years and 10 months, or he can just renew his greencard every 10 years.

Edward also had a Drs appointment yesterday. The Dr gave Eddie the ok to snowboard, so maybe we'll be seeing the family in Snowmass.

Today is the DAY

In an hour we're traveling across town to visit the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services office, where hopefully Edward will be granted a green card.

Wish us luck, and maybe say a prayer for us please!

100 Posts!

This is a historic moment, 100 posts!

Yesterday, while Edward was carrying Andrew down the stairs, Andrew said, "Chitty Chitty Bang"

Care to guess what his new movie obsession is?

You Guessed it!

So far, its my least favorite, I'd much rather watch 101 Dalmatians, Cars, Toy Story (one or two), Curious George, Dumbo, WallE, Jungle Book, Robin Hood, and even Thomas the Train!

I Got a New Phone

Its not as wonderful as I had anticipated. I think I may have gotten a lemon.

But I took this picture on it.
