I'm so happy with how the mermaid costumes turned out, I just wish we had gotten a picture of all the girls with their feet in the tails, by the pool.

I'm Like a Deflated Balloon

Yesterday the bank countered our offer, they want $25,000 more.

I'm moping.

I really want that house, Eddie and I were just talking about how this house is the best one that we've seen, it has everything that we want, and I've looked at a lot of houses. We've been searching and looking and dealing with offers and blah blah blah houses since November! It's almost been a year, and I'm tired.

So unless there's some miracle, we're probably not getting that house,

And we'll be back as square one,

Again.

PRESCHOOL!

Andrew started preschool yesterday. He was a little apprehensive when I was getting him dressed, he told me that everyone would laugh at him because he doesn't know all his letters.
I reassured him that it was ok not to know the alphabet yet, and that he was going to school so he could learn.
He went right in. He didn't even look over his shoulder to see what I was doing. He didn't say goodbye.
No tears from either of us.
When I picked him up I asked him how he liked it, he replied, "I like school, I want to go everyday." When I asked him what he did at school, all I got was a blank look.

Dear Juliette,

One year ago I was convinced that I was having a boy. I'm so glad that I was wrong! We love you. You are a joy to be around. Even Andrew likes you. A couple of days he said, "mom, our baby is so cute."
You are six months old and you've already mastered crawling. You weigh about 14lbs, you haven't been to the Doctor yet so I don't know your percentages.
I can tell you are anxious to get bigger. You seem like you're ready to pull up. Please don't, it's bad enough that you crawl, you don't need to be in such a hurry to grow up. Just stay a little baby for a little bit longer.

I love you so much. I'm lucky to be your mom.

We're Buying a House!

We're under contract, and hoping that everything goes as planned this time.


I have so many plans for the back yard, it's going to look AWESOME!

Our kitchen and dining area are going to be CHAIR FREE. No chairs for small children to drag around and climb on!
Down the street and around the corner is one of two community pools and parks.
And the builder still has the model pictures and floor plan online!
I have so many ideas in my head that it's hard to fall asleep at night. We should close escrow in about 2 months.

August 24th, my 28th birthday
August 26th, Juliette's half birthday
August 29th, Andrew's 4th birthday

For Andrew's birthday we went to PUMP IT UP! He was so excited.
I think maybe I'll have my 30th birthday party at PUMP IT UP.
Andrew's favorite food is pizza, so we had pizza at home before the party, and we served "pizza cake" to all his little friends.

And my 28th was mostly ignored (I'm not sad about this). Amber brought me a piece of pie at about 9 at night. When she knocked on the door I was hesitant to open it. I was worried it might be some sort of birthday kidnapping.

So now I can blog again. Well I would have blogged sooner but for some reason iphoto hates my phones pictures and won't let me upload them.
Stupid technology.

Anyways, I took the kids to Heber for a couple of weeks. We had a fabulous time.

We played outside,
We hung out on the porch,
We went to 7 Peaks, Andrew only tried to get lost one time,

We napped after 7 Peaks,
Juliette started solids,
She loved them,
She decided that she's not going to be a stay where you put her baby anymore,
Probably because she watched her cousins Will and
Claire, get whatever toys the wanted.
We have the cutest grandparents.
And I got my hair cut. I look old and angry, fortunately, I'm neither.

And we played in the rain. Andrew thought the thunder was awesome.

I SUCK at Blogging

The River is a Happy Place

Eddie, Andrew, Juliette, and I headed down to the river on the 3rd of July. Andrew was so anxious to get going, he asked all day on Friday if we were going to the river yet.
He was not disappointed when we got there. He was so excited to have his dad all to himself, and it was really relaxing to just sit around the beach and trailer just the 4 of us.






On Monday we went up the river a little ways to spend a little time with the Facers. Steve pulled Eddie and me water skiing and I got to wake board too. I hadn't wakeboarded in years, probably 9 or 10, Steve was probably the last person to pull me. I was sore until Thursday. I could barely go up and down the 3 steps on the front porch with out saying, "ow." I won't soon forget the feeling and it'll probably be a few more years before I wake board again!
Monday also brought the Teeples, and the end of relaxation.








Mom, how do you do it when we're all there? It was weird to not have someone in charge of everything. We really missed you!

Wednesday morning Eddie had to go back to Vegas to go to work, and the Bergens joined us Wednesday night.







We played, Hard. I need a vacation from my vacation.
