Boy Scout and Girl Scout Fundraisers

A couple of weeks ago some little scouts rang our doorbell, I purchased from both of them, and I couldn't be happier with what I got!


I got the Chocolatey Caramel Crunch from the boy scouts, oh my yummy, possibly the best popcorn on earth! Totally worth it! Support the BSA, visit Trail's End website, find something yummy and enjoy a good deed and a good treat!

The stuff I got from the Girl Scouts was good too, but the tin isn't sitting next to me, and I'm too lazy to go find one, so if you want to order from them, you'll have to do your own research.

I Heart Football

I do, I really do. I heart Football. Saturdays are spent watching Football, even if I could care less about the teams that are playing. Sometimes I'll watch highlights on YouTube. Today I watched highlights from the miracle bowl (and it really was a miracle! I cried) and I watched the final play of the BYU v Utah game from 2006. Sundays I don't watch quite as much football. I enjoy the NFL, but college is my first love.

I also read a great blog "Deep Shades of Blue" Its great, insightful, full of the information that people like me (those who have only ever been on the sidelines) crave. Read it, its great.

For my NFL info I go to, ESPN (duh) and First & Girl. F&G has really interesting stories etc about NFL players, and there is also the hotness factor. Check it out totally worth a few clicks! F&G also has a boutique, I'm currently wearing my silver football charm.

While lapping water at the head of a running brook, a wolf noticed a stray lamb some distance down the stream. Once he made up his mind to attack her, he began thinking of a plausible excuse for making her his prey.
"Scoundrel!" he cried, running up to her. "How dare you muddle the water that I am drinking!"
"Please forgive me," replied the lamb meekly, "but I don't see how I could have done anything to the water since it runs from you to me, not from me to you."
"Be that as it may," the wolf retorted, "but you know it was only a year ago that you called me many bad names behind my back."
"Oh, sir," said the lamb, "I wasn't even born a year ago."
"Well," the wolf asserted, "if it wasn't you, it was your mother, and that's all the same to me. Anyway, it's no use trying to argue me out of my supper."
And without another word, he fell upon the poor helpless lamb and tore her to pieces.

The moral: A tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny. So it is useless for the innocent to seek justice through reasoning when the oppressor intends to be unjust.

Not For Liberals, or anyone who voted for Obama

We will dictate that Governments long established SHOULD be changed for light and transient causes or whatever swings in the stock market should happen to come along or any other excuse we can come up with; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer and re-elect us, so long as we can conjure “Bush is bad” and blame everything on his past policies whether they had anything to do with it or not. But when after a long train of abuses and usurpations, it becomes evidence that our policies don’t work, it is our right and the main thing we know how to is to blame it all on Bush and the Republicans and keep trucking down the same failed road. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these United States; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to endure for at least the next four years. The history of the present government is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, that can only be remedied by the establishment of a spread the wealth philosophy in these States. To prove this, I will not supply any real facts but just wild accusations, fabricated statistics and condescending statements from Far Left websites and organizations which the media will gladly accept as conclusive proof.

Captains and Pigeons

Amber's dog, Captain Jack Sparrow, has been visiting with us while his family is out of town, consequently, my back door has been open to allow him into the back dirt. A few minutes ago, I heard Captain freak out and what sounded like crash. I walked out into the hallway to find a pigeon, in my house.

YUCK

Captain is now so worked up that he keeps running up and down the stairs and barking at the stupid bird. So I put him in the garage.

I managed to get the bird out by balling up a sheet and throwing it at the bird (which kept flying into the window). I managed to get it to fly out the front door.

Thankfully, it only crapped twice while it was in the house.

Even though the bird is no longer threatening our house, Captain is still patrolling and looking anxiously at the ceiling.

MmMMmm

I was sitting on the couch, with the laptop in my lap. Andrew came over to me and said, "Ag lun aaa, mmmMMmmm." I replied to this, "Okay bud." I looked up about 15 minutes later and I found him playing happily with a shape sorter.

So I got the camera out, and decided to look for the mess he must have made. I followed the pudding drips on the ground and found this.
Andrew came with me, and re-enacted the crime.
He even tried to clean himself up a little bit.
And since I already had the camera out, he decided that he needed to do something else cute enough to capture digitally.
