Yesterday we waited for an hour for our 11 o'clock appointment at the USCIS office, when we finally got in the interview process took about 15 minutes. The officer asked us a few questions, mostly he went over our paperwork to make sure it was all correct. He told us he could tell just by the way we behaved and spoke to one another that we're a legit couple. Eddie can apply for citizenship in 2 years and 10 months, or he can just renew his greencard every 10 years.
Edward also had a Drs appointment yesterday. The Dr gave Eddie the ok to snowboard, so maybe we'll be seeing the family in Snowmass.

Congratulations! That's great news!
Yay! Aren't you glad that's over!?!
Congratulations!!!
Yay how exciting! Why does he have to wait 2 years and 10 months to become a citizen though? Any specific reason or is it just red tape?
Congratulations. I wondered the same thing about the wait??? Is this in addition to the time he has already been here? Raul's mom had to take a test before she could get her citizenship papers, does Eddie have to also? Nothing hard.
how exciting! congratulations.
The wait, which starts the day he was approved for his greencard, is required by the government, the officer didn't explain it. He does have to take a test, but its just American history, actually its more than most Americans know.
That's great. I am glad that the worst is over. Welcome Eddie. LOL
Congratulations. I just got mine in the mail two days ago (my new one that last 10 years) I bet you guys are very relieved.
