What's Nice about NASCAR

The ESPN ticker never reads, "NASCAR driver arrested for ________"

There are no blogs dedicated to NASCAR criminals, and there are no studies devoted to crime rates among NASCAR drivers. There is only one NASCAR driver on Wikipedias list of professional sportspeople convicted of crimes.

Sometimes people make fun of my for being a NASCAR fan, and I know Amber deals with ridicule as well, but at least when I cheer for Carl Edwards I'm not cheering for criminal. I wish other professional sports organizations would adopt the attitude of, "you need us more than we need you."
